Finally.

So the computer is finally working and I have taken 2 vacation days from the use it or lose it category. 🙂 So I’m using it. I need to decided if I’m going to do this as an everyday type of thing or if this is going to be a “workweek” only type thing… I’m not sure. Anyways, that’s really neither here nor there. I have too many post-it notes around my computer. I also need to start a home overhaul in the cleaning dept. We don’t really have much storage space as far as cupboards & cabinets & closets go. There’s 1 normal closet off of the kitchen which we’ve turned into a pantry. There’s 1 closet upstairs for all 4 bedrooms to share. (Thank God it’s only my hubby & I that need to hang things up) and then we have this room that the previous owner walled off & turned into a hallway with a long closet. There are 2 sliding doors, but each one is 4 feet wide. Not very practical. So I’m still debating what to do with that since we really only use one half but the contents is forever spilling out into the hall. I’ve been debating it since we moved in. (2002) Guess it’s decision time. Well, have a lovely weekend!!

Bang head on wall…. here…. X

Soooooooo yeah. My computer and I have a love/hate relationship. It’s favorite thing lately has been to totally fritz out, scramble the video & freeze, rendering itself completely useless. One of my friends took pity on me, looked up my issues and gave me solutions. So I reseated the ram & since I already had the P.O.S. open, I reseated the power cable to the motherboard. We’re up & running again. I then looked up the driver updates on the Dell site, let the system do that remote diagnostic thing & it recommended 2 updates. I did the first and I already had the update. I then did the second and lo & behold, the driver it was trying to install was an older version of the one I had. <facepalm> Some days, I just can’t win. So I’ll wait for it to pull it’s sneaky crap again and then pull it’s brains out & squash ’em. <foot stomp> SO THERE COMPUTER!!! TAKE THAT!! Ha. I win.

Elusive sleep

yep. Didn’t get to sleep until well after 2am. Not for lack of trying. My brain just wouldn’t SHUT UP. I hate those night. Then my eyes POPPED open all by themselves at 6:50. My alarm is set for 7. Naturally. So I got right around 4 hours of sleep and it feels like it’s going to become a “normal” thing again. I was finally sleeping a solid 8 hrs with no waking up for about the last 2-3 months. Good bye “normal” sleep patterns… Hello wacked out insomnia. You have been a long time friend, but I promise I did NOT miss you. Guess we’ll see what tonight brings… and tomorrow night… and the night after that.

So it’s Sunday.

So I guess I need to decide if I’m making Beef Stew for dinner or if I’m cooking a Chuck Roast. It’s the same ingredients for the most part. And quite honestly, I like making the stew better. It’s easier to eat and seems to taste better. However, Somebody bought a chuck roast that was over 3 lbs. I could, potentially, cut it in half and do both! I just might do that. Roast tonight, stew tomorrow. That plan has the added benefit of letting the stew flavors blend overnight. 🙂 Always better the next day.

Laundry is done, dinner is planned. Time to play a game or two, then get to some cleaning.

So you’ll never guess what I’ve done.

I have decided to start a blog. Yep, a blog. I have no idea what it will be about and I have no idea what will be said or done with it. I don’t pretend to know what I’m doing but for some reason I think I might want to say something at some point so I thought this might be a good idea. And if you don’t like rambling, train of thought type of things, then this one is NOT for you. Please go away. Thanks.

That said, I wouldn’t mind if you stayed. Sometimes the world is kind of scary to me. I’m sure it’s scary to you sometimes too. See ya soon!
